In 1999, I founded the small company diakonos e.K. “Nomen est omen,” as the Romans said; in modern terms, “the name says it all.”. diakonos is the Greek word for servant, and this registered commercial enterprise (e.K.) is intended to serve Christians, churches, and ministries.
One of these services operates under the brand GemeindeLohn.de. Many churches want to pay their pastors but shy away from the hassle with taxes, social security, and legal stuff. That’s where Gemeindelohn.de comes in – we handle the admin so the church can focus on ministry.
Born in 1968, I'm married with four grown-up children. I work primarily as an IT project manager for social service providers and also serve as a preacher and Bible teacher.
